GENDER-VIOLENCE VIOLENCE SUPPORT

RAISING AWARENESS AND ADVOCATING PREVENTION

PSDS takes a “whole of society approach” in its efforts to eradicate violence against women, children, and LGBTQI+ people.

RAISING AWARENESS THROUGH

  • The multi-sectoral approach in developing a visionary, gender-responsive, and transformative way to address GBVF;
  • Provision of human rights, victim-centered, survivor-focussed services that reach all regardless of financial means;
  • Promoting active and meaningful community participation, and mobilizing civil society movements and those affected by GBV in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of projects and services.

PSDS has key competencies in integration technology and innovation, particularly in the context of emergencies. In this day and age, these are critical methodologies for reaching and supporting those in needy and vulnerable communities without exposing them to COVID-19.

We promote continuous investment in technology while assisting organisations in the adoption of the new technology. Our goal is to assist organisations to develop technological platforms to maximise the quality of project implementation and impact.

Services offered by our organisation include systems development and maintenance, supporting administration, management, and capacity building through skills training and consulting services.

PSDS is currently implementing an HIV project amongst sex workers and LGBTIQ+ persons from the refugee and asylum seekers in Gauteng and Free State. This is a project funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
